Scholarship Fund Overview

The Riverside Academy Scholarship Fund is established to support academically excellent yet financially disadvantaged Junior High School (JHS) entrants. It aims to alleviate the financial burden of educational costs such as tuition fees, Robotics & Coding Programmes and books, enabling deserving students to pursue their academic aspirations.

Riverside Academy is a private basic school offering education for 2-16 year olds. Dedicated to providing a distinguished educational experience, we foster academic, personal, and spiritual growth in our students. Grounded in Christian values, our supportive environment cultivates a culture of lifelong learning and personal growth.

    Scholarship Details

    • Annual Awards: For two incoming first-year Junior High Students

    • Duration: Up to three years of full-time Junior High School education

    • Renewability: Subject to annual renewal and termly review based on academic performance and attendance records

    • Eligibility: Junior High School entrants from local partner Public Basic Schools and low-cost fee-paying Private schools

    • Requirements: Transitioning Basic 6 students entering JHS 1, demonstrating financial need, academic excellence, and good conduct.

    Application Process

    • Start Date: Wednesday, June 01, 2025

    • Deadline: Tuesday, July 01, 2025

    • Submission: Applications must be submitted online or in the school office by the deadline. Late applications will not be considered.

    Ongoing Requirements for Scholarship Recipients

    • Satisfactory academic progress

    • Good student conduct

    • Parent/student performance evaluation meeting each term

    • Full-time enrollment and attendance

    • Minimum cumulative grade point average of 60.00 at the end of each term

    Selection Process

    Shortlisting: Wednesday, July 9 – Friday, July 11, 2025

    Selection Process in August

    • Written Assessment: Tuesday, August 5, 2025 (First week of August)

    • Further Review: Wednesday, August 6 – Tuesday, August 12, 2025

    • Interview Invitations: Wednesday, August 13, 2025

    • Interview Period: Monday, August 18 – Wednesday, August 20, 2025

    • Notification of Results: Wednesday, August 27, 2025

     

    School Reopening and Award Ceremony

    • School Reopens: Tuesday, September 2, 2025

    • Award Ceremony: Thursday, September 4, 2025 (Thursday after reopening)
