Riverside Academy held a two-day Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training for all staff from Monday, 20th April to Tuesday, 21st April 2026. The training was facilitated by our valued partners, Edify Ghana, and focused on strengthening the integration of educational technology (EdTech) into teaching and learning across the school.
Edify Ghana is part of a global non-governmental organisation committed to improving and expanding sustainable Christ-centred education. Operating in multiple countries, including Ghana, Edify works closely with private schools by providing teacher training, leadership development, access to finance, and support in education technology integration. Their approach centres on equipping schools with the tools and capacity needed to improve learning outcomes, strengthen school systems, and ensure long-term sustainability.
During the CPD sessions, staff were equipped with practical tools and strategies to enhance lesson delivery and improve student engagement through technology. A key highlight of the training was the introduction of a new Learning Management System (LMS) module, designed to support more interactive, structured, and effective classroom instruction.
As part of the school’s ongoing commitment to future-ready education, Riverside Academy is currently in the planning and implementation phase of establishing a dedicated EdTech Team. All staff have been successfully registered and onboarded, reflecting a whole-school approach to digital transformation. The formal inauguration of the EdTech Team will take place in due course, once the strategic framework and operational structures are fully established.
The EdTech Team will play a central role in developing, implementing, and rolling out a comprehensive EdTech strategy aligned with the Ghana Education Service curriculum, ensuring that technology integration remains purposeful, consistent, and impactful across all levels.

In addition, members of the School Management Team participated in a specialised Leadership and Management course focused on EdTech integration. This equipped school leaders with the strategic insight required to guide implementation, support staff, and sustain innovation across the school.
This CPD initiative also strengthens Riverside Academy’s Future-Ready Educational Framework, particularly the Tech and Digitisation pillar, one of the five core pillars underpinning the school’s commitment to preparing learners for a dynamic and evolving world.
This marks a significant step forward in Riverside Academy’s journey to deliver high-quality, innovative education. Through this partnership and continued investment in staff development, the school is intentionally equipping both educators and learners with the mindset, skills, and tools needed to thrive in the future.
