"Riverside Academy ensures that its educational practices remain current and relevant, leading to continuous improvement in teaching and learning outcomes"

Riverside Academy adopts the Ghana Education Service (GES) curriculum as the foundation of its educational programs. The GES curriculum is a comprehensive framework developed by the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment to guide the teaching and learning process in educational institutions across Ghana. By utilizing this curriculum, Riverside Academy aligns its educational approach with national standards and objectives, ensuring students receive a well-rounded and quality education.

Alignment with National Standards: The adoption of the GES curriculum ensures that Riverside Academy is in sync with the national educational goals and standards set by the Ghanaian government. The curriculum covers essential subjects and topics, providing students with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to succeed academically and in their future endeavors.

Holistic Development: The GES curriculum emphasizes holistic development, incorporating academic, social, emotional, and physical aspects of learning. Riverside Academy strives to foster well-rounded individuals by nurturing the intellectual, emotional, and social growth of its students. The curriculum encourages critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills, preparing students to become active and responsible citizens.

Cultural Relevance: The GES curriculum is designed to be culturally relevant to Ghana's diverse population. It includes aspects of Ghanaian culture, traditions, and values, allowing students at Riverside Academy to connect with their heritage and develop a strong sense of identity and belonging.

Flexibility and Adaptability: While adhering to the GES curriculum, Riverside Academy has the flexibility to tailor its teaching methods and approaches to meet the unique needs of its students. The curriculum provides a framework, but educators at the academy can design lessons and activities that cater to the interests and learning styles of their students.

Continuous Improvement: The GES curriculum undergoes regular review and updates to incorporate new educational research, emerging trends, and societal needs. By following the curriculum, Riverside Academy ensures that its educational practices remain current and relevant, leading to continuous improvement in teaching and learning outcomes.

Preparation for Examinations: The GES curriculum is designed to prepare students for various national examinations, such as the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). By following the curriculum, Riverside Academy equips its students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in these standardized assessments.

Parental Engagement: The use of the GES curriculum fosters transparency and effective communication between the academy and parents. Parents can understand the educational content and expectations, allowing them to actively participate in their child's education and support their academic journey.

Community Integration: Adopting the GES curriculum strengthens Riverside Academy's integration within the local community and the broader Ghanaian educational landscape. The School becomes part of a nationwide effort to enhance the quality of education and contribute to the development of the nation's future leaders.
