Ebenezer Kwabe Ofosu’s journey began in Pre-school of Riverside Academy, where he first discovered the power of discipline, growth mindset, and faith in God. As Sports Prefect in Riverside Junior High School, he encouraged his peers to embrace teamwork, push their limits, and celebrate effort as much as achievement. Whether on the field or in the classroom, Kwabena demonstrated that true leadership is about lifting others while striving for personal excellence.

Ebenezer was part of the 2020 Covid-19 BECE year group, a cohort that faced unprecedented challenges. In early 2020, the global Covid-19 pandemic forced governments around the world to close schools to prevent the spread of the virus. In Ghana, like many other countries, students had to adapt to remote learning and deal with disruptions to their final year of basic education. Despite these difficulties, Kwabena remained focused, studied diligently, and aced his BECE, earning admission to the prestigious Mfantsipim School. His success became a beacon of hope and resilience for his peers and the Riverside Academy community.

At Mfantsipim School, Ebenezer carried Riverside Academy’s values with him. As Class Academic Councillor, he became a bridge between faculty and peers, advocating for academic excellence and supporting his classmates. He also flourished in the Writers and Debaters Club, refining his public speaking, critical thinking, and creative writing skills that strengthened both his mind and confidence.

Ebenezer’s dedication to learning culminated in his final year at Mfantsipim School, when he was awarded Best Science Student during the school’s Speech and Prize Giving Day. This top honour was celebrated warmly back at Riverside Academy, where staff and students joined in recognising his achievement, alongside his proud mother.

Beyond academics and leadership, he is a curious and adventurous soul. He enjoys exploring hardware systems and coding, reading and writing poetry, playing video games, and staying active through football and fitness. These hobbies reflect a balance of mind, heart, and body — the very essence of Riverside Academy’s educational philosophy.

A fond memory from Mr. Narh, one of Ebenezer’s teachers, still brings a smile: “I can never forget how Kwabena used to ring the school bell so loud with perfect timing every day. It was a small task, but he treated it with such dedication — a true reflection of his character even then.”

Today, Ebenezer is pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, with dreams of becoming a Lead Systems Engineer. He aspires to use his knowledge and creativity to develop technological solutions that address local challenges, blending technical expertise with the leadership and communication skills nurtured through his school journey.

His story reminds us that resilience, dedication, and a curious mind can turn challenges into opportunities truly embodying Riverside Academy’s motto: “Growing together, flourishing tomorrow.”
