Riverside Academy's Visionary Executive Director Achieves Highest Recognition in Private Basic Education at 8th Ghana Industry CEO Awards

Riverside Academy proudly announces that Mr David Yaw Chikpa Abeseabe, Executive Director and Co-founder, has been honoured as “Most Respected CEO – Private Basic Education” at the 8th Edition of the Ghana Industry CEOs Awards 2025 — a historic milestone in the Academy’s 19-year journey.

The prestigious ceremony, organised by The Business Executive Group Ghana (TBE), took place on Thursday, 27 November 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC). The Awards scheme is described as a “red carpet, five-star ceremony”, celebrating winners alongside top-tier officials, industry leaders, diplomats, media, and other distinguished guests.

The award was presented by Shaima Hussein, Deputy Resident Representative of the UNDP, to Mr Abeseabe in recognition of his exceptional leadership and transformative impact in private basic education. The event welcomed over 300 guests, including High Commissioners and Ambassadors from Sierra Leone and Zambia, the Country Director of the World Health Organisation in Ghana, and executives from the Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS). Accompanying Mr Abeseabe were School Business Manager Joel Kwaku Abeseabe and Mr and Mrs Kumah, a retired banker and close friend of Riverside Academy.

This recognition represents the highest honour for a CEO in Ghana’s private education sector and the highest pinnacle in Riverside Academy’s 19-year history. Under Mr Abeseabe’s leadership, the Academy has consistently championed future-ready education, Christian values, EdTech innovation, and sustainability, while providing affordable world-class education.

Speaking on receiving the award, Mr Abeseabe shared:
