The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord.”— Proverbs 21:31 (NIV)

Go forth with confidence. You have studied, you have prayed, and you have been prepared. Now is your time to rise and shine—not just for yourselves, but for your families, your school, your community, and above all, for God's glory.

Stand firm. Rise with purpose. Shine for His glory.

Background to the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE)

The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is a national examination organised annually by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) for final-year Junior High School (JHS) students across Ghana. It marks the end of the nine-year Basic Education cycle—comprising six years of Primary School and three years of JHS.

The BECE assesses candidates in core subjects such as English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Social Studies, and Ghanaian Language, among others. Results from the BECE are used for placement into Senior High Schools (SHS), Technical Institutes, and Vocational Schools through the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS).
